These Terms & Conditions govern the use of services provided by Johns Hopkins Polyclinic, a Dubai-based multi-specialty clinic offering General Practice, Physiotherapy, Dental, Cosmetic, Anti-Aging, and Telemedicine services, in accordance with the Dubai Health Authority.

1. Scope of Services

The clinic provides in-clinic and telemedicine healthcare services. Telemedicine includes consultations via video, audio, or chat for non-emergency conditions.

2. Appointments & Services

• Appointments must be booked in advance
• The clinic reserves the right to reschedule or refuse service
• Treatment suitability is determined by the attending physician

3. Telemedicine Services

• Available only to patients physically present in the UAE
• Intended for non-emergency medical conditions
• Does not replace physical examination
• The physician may require an in-person visit when necessary

4. Emergency Disclaimer

For medical emergencies, patients must immediately contact UAE emergency services or visit the nearest hospital. Telemedicine must not be used in emergency situations.

5. Patient Responsibilities

The patient agrees to:

• Provide accurate and complete medical information
• Follow prescribed treatment and medical advice
• Attend in-clinic consultation when advised
• Ensure proper technology access for teleconsultations

6. Consent to Treatment & Telemedicine

By using our services, the patient:

• Provides informed consent for medical treatment
• Accepts telemedicine limitations (if applicable)
• Agrees to electronic medical record creation and storage

7. Data Privacy & Confidentiality

All patient data is handled in compliance with UAE data protection laws and Dubai Health Authority regulations:

• Information is securely stored and confidential

8. Prescriptions & Medical Advice

• Prescriptions are issued only when clinically appropriate
• Certain medications may be restricted under UAE regulations
• Medical advice is based on patient-provided information

9. Payments, Cancellation & Refunds

• Services must be prepaid unless otherwise agreed
• No refunds after service completion
• Missed or late appointments may be charged
• Refunds, if applicable, are at clinic discretion

10. Technology Disclaimer (Telemedicine)

The clinic is not responsible for interruptions due to internet failure, device issues, or third-party platform downtime.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by UAE law:

• The clinic is not liable for indirect or consequential damages
• Telemedicine outcomes depend on information provided remotely

12. Medical Compliance

All services are provided by qualified and DHA-licensed healthcare professionals in accordance with UAE regulations.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates and regulations of the Dubai Health Authority.
